Blessed be God in His angels and in his Saint!
The Supreme Pontiff, Benedict XVI, today received in audience Cardinal Angelo Amato S.D.B., prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, and authorized the promulgation of a decree concerning a miracle to advance the cause of the native-born American Mohawk-Huron beata, Kateri Tekakwitha.

It is a day long prayed-for by many a pilgrim, and worked-for by the late postulator of her cause, Father John Paret SJ, the former director of the shrine at Auriesville who always received us with such generosity of catholic heart.
Let all thanks now be to God for so great a gift to the Church Universal and to the church in America.
The Director of the annual Pilgrimage for Restoration has asked pilgrims to pray, immediately upon learning this gladsome news, one Ave Maria to join in the jubilation of thanks to God for this glorious day.
